Trixie has been waiting at the shelter for someone to choose her. She’s a sweet, loving hound who has captured the hearts of volunteers — but sadly, she keeps getting passed over because she is heartworm positive.

The good news is that we finally have a rescue willing to take her, but they need help covering the cost of her heartworm treatment.

Heartworm treatment costs around $1,000.

We already have an incredibly generous donor who has pledged $600, which means we only need to raise the remaining $400 to fully fund her treatment.

In addition, we need $150 for her freedom ride — the transport that will get Trixie from the shelter to safety with the rescue.

Total goal: $550

• $400 for heartworm treatment

• $150 for transport to freedom

Once Trixie completes treatment, she will be healthy, safe, and finally able to start her new life — something she’s been waiting so patiently for.

Every dollar goes directly to saving her life. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser means just as much.

Let’s get Trixie out of the shelter and into the life she deserves.
