Help Triston keep fighting the fight

Hey y’all. We’re here asking for help & support for our friend, Triston, who is quite literally fighting for his life.
We all met Triston when he started to regularly pop into a TikTok live hosted by a content creator we all mutually follow. These live events were a “meeting ground” of sorts where people from all walks of life and all different locations around the country and the world came together, had fun, hung out, and just shared life. It didn’t take long for Triston to become part of the family and once we adopted him, he opened up to us about his story.
Here is the short version of the long battle he’s currently fighting:
About 5 years ago, Triston was diagnosed with testicular cancer. The turn around from diagnosis, to treatment was fast and he had it beat within 3 months. However, about a year and half ago, the cancer came back with a vengeance, but this time it came back in his lower abdomen and hip.
Because he was in and out of the hospital during his first diagnosis, he was unable to work and was laid off. The second diagnosis prevented him from taking a new job. So he was jobless and battling cancer.
He started his chemo and he was responding well to the treatments. But suddenly, it took the turn for the worse. His cancer had metastasized. His medical team advised increasingly aggressive treatments. Finally, they came to him with the idea of trying an experimental treatment. This treatment is extremely aggressive and he one of about a dozen who have opted to try it.
His first major treatment happened a couple of months ago. After multiple rounds of preparatory work, he was ready for his first in-hospital treatment. He had to go into the hospital for a couple of weeks. During this treatment, they pumped with extremely high doses of cancer-fighting drugs essentially killing his body to “wipe the slate clean” while sustaining his life until his body could catch back up. The first round of treatment was nearly unbearable and we thought we might lose him a couple of times. He fought hard and made it through. Now, he’s back in the hospital undergoing his second and final round. This is the Hail Mary for Triston.
We’ve all been collectively pitching in. We’ve helped Uber him to his doctors appointments, bought his medications, sent him food; we’ve just done what we could to help where we were able. But, the next bit of expenses are beyond our little family’s reach right now.
The medications that Triston will need once he leaves the hospital, the meds which will make or break this whole ordeal, are going to cost over $2000. As much as we want to help him, it’s a bigger bill than what we can handle on our own. This is where you all come in.
We’re starting this GoFundMe to try and help give our friend, our brother, the best chance he can have at beating this thing. He needs meds. He needs transportation to and from his appointments. And he needs funds to do all of the normal, every day stuff we all take for granted. We’ve set the goal at $3,500 to give him enough for his meds, food, transportation, and whatever else he needs to take care of life.
If you are able to help financially, we would all be most grateful. If all you can do is share this GoFundMe, send a prayer or 12, and share his story, you would have our appreciation.
Triston has a family he’s fighting to stay with. His better half, his baby boy, and his extended TikTok family need him here. Please do what you can to help us keep him with us to fight another day.
Sincerely,
TeamTriston
