Help Tristin Heal from Severe Burn Injuries
Donation protected
On the evening of April 14th, Tristin was courageously trying to put out a grease fire when he got severely burned on both sides of his arms and his feet. He was rushed to the hospital in Fargo and then immediately airlifted to the Burn Center at Regions Medical Center in St. Paul, where he began intensive treatment for his burns.
His first surgery took place on the 18th of April, in which the doctors applied a specialized collagen material to his arm and hand in preparation for skin grafting. On May 1st, Tristin underwent his second surgery, which was the skin graft surgery. They took a significant amount of skin from his thigh and grafted it to his left arm and part of his right foot. Thankfully, the procedure was successful; however, he remains at risk for infection and will be bedridden for a few days while on blood thinners. Overnight, his donor site experienced significant bleeding, which they will continue to closely monitor. The medical team is trying to keep him as comfortable as possible for the next few days with medication. The physical and emotional toll of being away from home is exhausting for Tristin, along with his family, who have been by his side throughout this difficult time.
As Tristin continues his recovery, the timeline for his return to work remains uncertain. However, what we do know is that the financial burden of medical expenses will be significant, and insurance will only cover so much.
We humbly ask for your support and assistance in ensuring that Tristin does not face this difficult journey alone. Your generosity—no matter the amount—will make a meaningful difference in his healing process. Every contribution helps ease the burden and allows Tristin to focus on his recovery.
We are deeply grateful for your kindness and compassion. Thank you for standing by Tristin during this challenging time. We will continue to share updates on his progress.
