Help Tristan Start Over

Hi, I’m Tristan, a disabled trans guy living in North Carolina.

I left my job of 23 years in August 2024 due to health issues and harassment experienced in the workplace. I had some savings, but they’re now depleted and I’ve been unable to return to work due to chronic fatigue and depressive disorder.

I’m in therapy and receiving medical treatment, thanks to a local trans health organization. I’ve applied for SSDI (disability) but have not received benefits yet, so I have no income. It has been very difficult to come to terms with my limitations and needing assistance. I have always preferred to be independent and handle things myself, and I can no longer do that.

I’m selling my house because I can’t afford it or take care of the property. I have a realtor and hope to sell within the month. The mortgage is in default and I’m hoping to avoid foreclosure. I anticipate being able to afford to rent a room with the proceeds of the sale, but until then, my bank account is in the double digits. The bills are piling up and I’m in a very tight spot. I’m asking for assistance with bills and moving expenses.

My current needs are funds for: groceries, transportation (I don’t have a car & an Uber to my doctor is a $45-$50 round trip), overdue utility bills, and help with getting the house cleaned out (I will need to rent a dumpster, pay for lawn care, a moving truck, and people to assist with moving.) I appreciate any donation so much!
