Help Tristan keep fighting forward

Donation protected
Fifteen months ago, my son had to learn how to walk again.
Today, he’s still fighting—one step at a time.
In August 2024, our lives changed forever. We lost Tristan’s mom and his twin brother, Dominic, in a tragic car crash. Tristan survived—but not without a fight that continues every single day.
He suffered a traumatic brain injury and had to relearn how to walk—something no child should ever have to go through. Over the past 15 months, he’s made incredible progress, but the road ahead is still very real.
Tristan continues to deal with:
ongoing headaches
balance challenges
slowed reaction time
But what defines him isn’t what he’s been through—it’s who he is.
He’s strong. He’s determined. And he keeps showing up, even on the hardest days.
Tristan loves sports—especially hockey and baseball. More than anything, he just wants to feel like a kid again… playing, competing, and feeling like himself again.
As his dad, I’ve done everything I can to support him through recovery—physically, emotionally, and mentally. His needs right now are high. Between ongoing appointments, therapies, and supporting him through the emotional side of this—including separation anxiety—I need to be present for him every day.
That’s meant stepping back from work more than I ever expected, so I can be there for him through this recovery and help him feel safe, supported, and able to keep moving forward.
This fundraiser will help support:
ongoing therapy and rehabilitation
specialized treatments and care
tools and resources to aid his recovery
giving him the best possible chance at getting back to the life he loves
While some basic care like kinesiology and physical therapy is covered, many of the supports Tristan needs to truly move forward are not.
This includes things like hockey and baseball development, and confidence-based therapy to help him rebuild belief in himself.
Right now, Tristan can struggle with feeling like he doesn’t belong or isn’t good enough, and the fear of getting hurt again is very real. These supports are about more than sports—they’re about helping him feel confident, capable, and like himself again.
I also wrote a song for him—about his fight, his strength, and the love that carries him forward. My hope is that it reaches people, and maybe even artists like Thomas Rhett , Tim McGraw or Luke Combs—not for recognition, but to help bring awareness to his journey and the fight he’s in.
If you’re able to donate, share, or even just take a moment to listen, it truly means more than I can put into words.
Every step forward is a victory… and I’ll be right beside him for every single one.
