Help Billy Recover From OBX Avalon Pier Shooting

My name is Trish and I am his Grandma on July 31st a tragedy happened in Kill Devil Hills in the Outer Banks. My family was spending a week vacation in KDH celebrating my grandsons 16th birthday early.

He was leaving Avalon Pier when he got struck in the thigh by a bullet. He was a bystander just wanting spend the day with his family at the beach.

He got life flighted to a hospital in Norfolk where they checked him and told us that they are not removing the bullet since it is near his femoral artery. We also took him our local Children's Hospital and the results were the same. The bullet will stay in his leg permanently. He is now going to therapy that specializes in traumatic situations. We still have a long road with drs appts, neurologist, therapy, and follow ups.

I’m doing this Gofundme for him bc it will cost money to and from appointments and also if they have to go back to KDH for any type of legal proceedings.
