Help Trisha KICK CANCERS ASS!!

Hey hey family and friends, my name is Stephanie and I'm fundraising for my sister-in-law Trish and brother Derek. It's time to rally!

Back in September Trish got real sick with Covid, even with recovering from that she constantly had a bad cough and deployed energy.

After going to urgent care Dec 1st, they immediately sent her to the ER at Renown. She called Derek on the way telling him she'd be home in a bit. That was not the case. While there she had 1300ml of fluid drained from her right lung and was admitted. While this provided minimal relief it revealed fluid around her heart and a huge tumor in her chest. The tumor was blocking her lung and giving it 0% functionality. It is the size of a soft ball and has pushed thru her chest lining and is causing massive bruising. After lot's of testing and biopsy Pathology has revealed she has Mediastinal B-Cell Lymphoma.

 

Yesterday Friday the 17th, the fluid in her heart went from minimal to moderate and the cardiologist determined her heart can't withstand the chemo with the fluid and her heart rate is to fast. They moved her into ICU and put her under to insert a drainage tube. She is currently in ICU and will be there until further notice draining. We are hopeful it will drain and allow chemo to begin.

 

After she completes this monumental task she will be sent back to oncology to start chemo. They will do her first treatment at Renown and monitor her, as the tumor breaking apart could cause other health issues. To make matters worse she will have 5 more treatments every 21 days. At the end of all this, there's hope we can say SHE KICKED CANCERS ASS!!!

This has all come in a matter of 3 weeks, was beyond unexpected and not the Christmas news anyone wants. This fundraiser is up because medical costs are exceeding insurance and out of pockets and these two amazing people would never ask for help. Your donations will cover medical costs, recovery, new items for chemo, bills, everything they need to navigate through this journey.
