Hi, my name is Trish and I'm a 44-year-old who is currently battling uterine cancer for the second time. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am, first and foremost, an aunt to 10 beautiful nieces and nephews—five of whom I am currently helping to raise with my best friend and wonderful mother, Tina. I am also the lead teacher at an amazing daycare here in Syracuse: This part is from my momma
Hello my name is Tina . I am writing on behalf of my oldest daughter Trish, I am looking for a sponsorship for her and her two sisters. I can still recall the day the doctor told us Trish has cancer. i don't care how old your child is, those words are devastating news. My first born, the one I loved the longest, is going to die before my eyes, there's nothing I can do about that. This is something we are never taught when we have children. I want to give her all she asks for just because I never know when it will be her last time. We have make a wish foundation for our children under 19 yrs old however no one seems to understand even though Trish is 44 yrs old she is STILL and always be my baby. My world, and my dreams for her too. I know what I am asking has a HUGE cost for someone to bear and I am sure you get tons of these types of letters, everyone has a sad story, so why bother to write and ask? Well that's simple, I am her mom and I have nothing to lose by asking.Besides This I can try and do for her. Would you not do all you can to make a dream come true for your dying child?
Trish is 44 yrs old and was battling uterus cancer along with ovarian cancer in 2020. She went onto chemo treatments and struggled with work and cancer for 8 months. Around a year later we were told her Uterus cancer was gone. However, the Ovarian cancer will only go into remission. and we would be battling that beast later in life again. We were blessed for almost 5 yrs with no return. Around the holidays in 2025 we found out it's back and more aggressive. She is now in stage 3. We are finding trish is struggling to keep herself motivated to get up and keep moving and fighting. She needs a recharge. She needs to feel alive. She's had so much negative in her world over the last year that we want to help make some good positive memories with her.
Trish started a bucket list of things she wished she had more time for. We have been blessed to have sent her to see her first Bills game in person last fall. Her sister Leslieann got them tickets last season to the Jets stadium { Leslieann is a huge Jets fan}, they've both been dreaming of that trip since high school.
So now we are working on her next trip. Trish has never been to the ocean and would love to spend a few days on one. The sun would warm her body, heart and soul. Trish has never traveled outside of NY, she has always wanted to go to Boston and see all the historical sites and maybe do a whale watch.
Trish and I are raising 6 of my grandchildren. The oldest is 15 yrs old and the twins are 14, the youngest is 10 all boys. We also have living with us two young adults 19 and 20 both ladies my granddaughters . We also take care of a colony of stray cats on our street. I am writing this letter to tell you this because i want you to understand as much as i want to send my daughter on this trip, i cannot afford it with all my responsibilities i have now. I get a small check for the boys each month plus my SSi. Trust me I have no spare money. Trish herself is working part time at a daycare with little ones but this chemo treatment is harder on her body so she has missed a lot of work.

Writing this is not easy for me. I have never been one to look for handouts or charity, and asking for help has always been hard. But right now, I am reaching out because I need a mental break from the treatments and stress that come with fighting cancer. I would love to take a road trip with my sisters to a beach somewhere, to finally see the ocean for the first time, and to stop at some cool places along the way. Sharing this experience with my sisters would mean so much to me and give me something positive to look forward to during this difficult journey.
Your support would mean the world to me. Any contribution, big or small, will help me find hope and healing during this challenging time. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering helping me make this dream a reality. We would be using the money to help towards loding, food and renting a car and gas to drive
