HELP My Momma With Critical Care Digestive System Shut Down

Hi everyone ☺️ This is my and my 41yo mentally challenged brothers momma, TrishAnn, the glue that binds the family. Without her, life would never be happy, the sun wouldn't shine and my 41yo mentally challenged brother would not want to live without her, he is very very very close to her.

I've been wanting to update everyone on what's been going on with my mom. She is not in a good place right now, she wants to just stop everything she's tired, very depressed and so discouraged because of all the medical bills and knowing we've exhausted all means of help already!! I can't let her give up!!!

My momma has beat Cancer 2Xs (Oral and Endometrial) had 42 Surgeries, many severe broken bones and I could go on and on but I won't. She is honestly one of the most humble and selfless people that I have ever met in my life, and I'm not just saying that because she's my mom.

My mom has end stage Gastroparesis, and was moved from a "Chronic illness" category into a " Critical illness" category. You may ask why?? Chronic illness is something that is long lasting, however Critical – injury or illness is life threatening.. With my mom's heart working overtime since she can't breathe right due to the stomach flipping underneath her diaphragm, and all of her bloodwork bottoming out, all her muscles and nerves have officially stopped working in her digestive system, BMI of 17.0, weighing between 99.0 & 99.9 lbs she is now considered having a "Critical illness". And she has been put on 7 new medications to try and at least help.

As my mom's GI Surgeon stated "This is the most complex case I've ever seen. I will not give up on your mom, we will see this through together, but things may get worse before they get better", whatever that meant. But, they are publishing in JAMA I believe the Medical Journal is.

We just want our mom to get the help she deserves and desperately needs without worry, and not having to chose DEATH over LIFE due to money is what it's come down to. So very sad.

My mom would take in troubled teens when I was in High School and she would raise them no cost from anyone, however, the stipulations my mom had was they had to graduate from HS. Many of them wouldn't be here today if it weren't for my mom. She would give anyone her last penny and the shirt off her back, because that's the HUGE heart she has. I wish people really knew all that she does and has done for so many, but God knows all.

My brother and I in 2017 almost lost our momma. She getting a sleeve for Gastroparesis because 90% of her stomach was already dead, so 2 days later they had to rush her by ambulance straight into surgery for Sepsis, they wheeled her out on life support, devastating needless to say. She has to learn to eat, walk, brush her hair and teeth again, basically all living skills. Then in February 2023 she had to have her final surgery for Diversional Colitis I believe she and the Proctologist said, except this time she was lucky she was already in the hospital when the same thing happened, back to square one.

Our momma was not only our momma, she is/was our biggest fan, friend, confident, the one who healed not only our cuts and scrapes but our hearts when they were broken, our coach by never missing a practice or game coaching/doing books, 2 different fields, baseball, softball, football, wrestling, you name it, my sister and I were in it and our mom never said no.

I know my mom really appreciates all of you, and the friendships she's built on Tiktok and I personally want to thank you so much for being there for her as well. She speaks so highly of so many of you. So Thank you!
