Help Trish and Family with Mike’s medical Bills

Donation protected
On October14 Mike fell at home and required medical attention 911 was called and Mike was transported to the ER at SLC. He was admitted to the hospital with low oxygen levels associated with pulmonary Edema and Congestive heart failure. Doctors Determined additionally his condition was causing build up of carbon monoxide thru out his body. Breathing very labored, he was put on a Cpap but after 4 hours there was no Improvment. The Doctors decided Mike would need to be intubated on October16th from there he was in the ICU sedated and strapped to the bed while being feed thru a tube and forced air.
Doctors advised intubation is temporary and should be removed within 14 days due to possibility of long term damage to Mike’s lungs. As that time neared doctors did not feel Mike would survive without breathing assistance so on November 2nd they did a Tracheotomy. Mike was kept in ICU along with the oxygen issues doctors were also monitoring his heart, lungs and kidneys which were all unstable.
Once Mike adjusted to having the tracheotomy he was getting O.T. to help him swallow so he could eat and drink with a trachea tube in.
On November 12th Mike was moved from SLC-ICU to a rehab in Thornton there he continued to be monitored for congestive heart and kidney failure. He also did breathing treatments and over the next 3 weeks manage to use a cannula and breath on his own. The feeding tube was removed. On December 2nd the tracheotomy tube was removed the hole in his neck was covered and no longer need. On December 3rd he was moved again to a new rehab location now becoming difficult for the family as it is 25 miles from home and although the facility provides occupational and physical therapy, family plays a important role in healing. Showing support, presence and love, along with meeting with doctors, therapist, nurses as he progresses.
It has been and will continue to be a long road ahead for us all. With the hope the worst has passed.

I am sorry to say during the past week I have been working on this to get this fund moving forward Mike passed away this morning the 4th of January so along with medical bill’s Trish and family will also have funeral expenses so I hope we all can help Trish out with this for as she always was there to help us as techs, co workers, and I am sure friends and family when ever she could.
