Trinket is our sweet, blind Shih Tzu who has been part of our family for four years. She’s only about two pounds, but her spirit is so much bigger than her size. This week, Trinket lost some weight and started struggling to breathe, even after seeing her regular vet. Things took a turn for the worse, and now she’s in the ICU at MedVet with an upper respiratory infection and a questionable lobe on her lung. She’s currently in an oxygen tank because her O2 level dropped to 90%, and her breathing has become especially difficult.

All funds raised will go directly to Trinket’s bill at MedVet. The costs cover her oxygen support, ICU stay, X-rays, medications, nebulizer treatment, fluids, and any other supportive care she needs while hospitalized. The next 24–48 hours are critical, and we’re doing everything we can to give her the best chance to pull through.

This unexpected emergency comes on top of recent health bills for our other pet, Atom, making it especially challenging for us to cover Trinket’s care.
