Hi, my name is Trinity, and I am a choral music major at William Carey University.

This summer, I have the opportunity to serve at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp as a camp counselor. I will be leaving on June 13 and returning on August 16, spending nine weeks fully immersed in this experience. While there, I will also be singing in the faculty choir, participating in ensembles, and helping guide student musicians. This is more than just a summer job for me. This is purpose. This is me stepping into what God has called me to do. At Blue Lake, I will serve as a camp counselor while also taking on weekly music-related assignments as a Choral Assistant. In this role, I will support faculty, guide students in classes, help organize materials, and assist with daily musical activities. At the same time, I will be managing cabin life and counselor responsibilities, pouring into students, building relationships, and helping create a safe and encouraging environment.

This is a nine-week internship that will challenge me both musically and personally. I will be living and working closely with campers each day, leading, supporting, and encouraging them as they grow not only as musicians, but as individuals. At the same time, I will continue developing my own skills in a high-level artistic setting while learning from experienced educators and performers.

Music is not just something I do; it is who I am. I have been called to lead, to teach, and to pour into others through music. I will be a director of music one day, and I believe this opportunity is helping lay the foundation for my future.

Coming from Mississippi, this is also a chance for me to step outside of what I have always known, connect with people from different backgrounds, and grow in ways that I can bring back to impact my community.

I am currently raising funds to help cover travel and summer expenses for this internship. The drive to camp is about 14 hours, which I will likely split over two days. This includes gas, hotel stays, meals, and basic living expenses while I am away for the summer.
