House of the Nomad— a traveling art & clothing shop and studio offering:

  • pop-up art, clothing, and music shows
  • art classes and studio sessions
  • cross-country kickbacks
  • tarot readings

and more

—is a lifelong passion project started by multi-disciplinary artist @trinitythenomad

Trinity started selling artwork at the age of 14 while surviving religious, financial, physical, psychological abuse & domestic violence from both parents.

Resources largely went toward their divorce and supporting them. Meanwhile, she never gave up hope that things would get better. In the background, she was investing in her art/clothing business and attempting to put herself through art school.

Often, Trinity worked 2-5 different jobs at a time, sometimes working double shifts or teaching art classes back to back before selling artwork at pop-up booths across Chicago. When she could, she’d still stay up late and plan for House of the Nomad.

Fighting back and taking this much on by herself resulted in chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia and PTSD, as she was formally diagnosed at just age 18. Being neurodivergent on top of having physical disabilities has rendered traditional work physically unsustainable.

While other young adults were exploring the options presented to them in life, Trinity was creating her own. In the silence of the pandemic’s lockdown, her 5-Year Plan was born—

The Art Studio On Wheels ✨

House of the Nomad art/clothing sales and donations go towards securing the Studio on Wheels— a vehicle that changes a disabled artists’ life forever!

At art studios, restaurants, and at vendor booths, she brought smiles to patrons in Chicagoland and Hollywood, asking, “how may I help you?” Now, after years of serving clients and customers alike, she’s bringing her own masterpiece to life and asking for help.

On wheels, Trinity can:

  • instruct art classes outside, at studios, and in creative spaces across the country

  • make landscape and destination-inspired artwork on-site

  • reconnect with nature and visit ancient sites significant to her lineage and creative practice

  • document, track and archive her progress as she adds more fine art exhibitions, education, and installations to her expanding portfolio

  • take and make custom clothing & art orders while on the road

  • expand her network of clients, collaborators, and reach by being able to travel to/with them

  • take on more live painting jobs (weddings, festivals, out-of-state events, etc.)

  • connect with galleries nationwide (and beyond)!

  • join or start a traveling collective that addresses issues of classism, ableism, intersectionality, and accessibility in America

  • visit older extended family members who need to be traveled to

  • get to traditional jobs easier and remove the accessibility roadblocks of commuting, harassment on public transportation, being followed without easy means to get away, etc.

  • bring viewers into the next part of the journey, breathing new life into online platforms that have amassed over 100M total views and counting across TikTok and Instagram alone

  • throw rotating pop-up events with other van lifers, roadies, and creatives to help stimulate local economies

  • create a sense of community for those re-defining what home and family can look like, re-shaping the idea that they have to stay in one place

and so much more!

Your donation, purchases at House of The Nomad, and interactions across my various platforms helps me get closer to my goals every single day.

Funds will go toward:
  • a safe living space while in DV recovery and securing the vehicle
  • the Studio on Wheels vehicle
  • associated start-up costs, such as vehicle repairs, emergencies, and SOS funds

Thank you for your continued support ❤️
