We are TRIN, a Los Angeles based dance theatre company directed by Tippy Dringman, Mason Gray and Monica Williams. TRIN is a collective that exists out of friendship, is centered upon community, and creates safe spaces to connect, explore, play, and perform. We are in the early years of our journey as a company, founded in 2021. We have established a unique voice in the LA dance community, creating work (entirely collaboratively as a trio) that spans stage, screen, and unconventional spaces. TRIN’s dance work is theatrical, daring, sensual, queer, comedic, and a real labor of love for one another and the stories we have to share.
WE NEED YOU TO HELP US PAY OUR DANCE ARTISTS AND COLLABORATORS. TRIN Dance Theatre is looking to raise $2k before June 26th.
After carefully casting a wonderfully talented group of performers, we set out on a hero’s journey to create a 90 min evening length work. In order for this dream show to become a reality, we must put in the hours of hard work and heart that make this piece what it is. And we must pay our dancers and collaborators for their time and energy.
HERE IS WHY:
While it may seem counterintuitive, the current landscape of Los Angeles concert dance does not consistently prioritize dancers being paid. Grant funding is sparse and highly competitive. Dancers are often asked to donate their time and bodies to work that is grossly underpaid, or not funded at all. For this reason, artist pay is a core value embedded into the ethos of our company. As an emerging dance company in Los Angeles, TRIN is working to deconstruct this landscape and model financial justice by paying our artists an ethical rate.
If we are able to raise $2k, we will reach our goal of $6,800 to fully cover dancer rehearsal pay, dancer performance pay, collaborator compensation, crew pay, studio space rentals, lighting design, photo/video documentation, and costume/set design.
We are turning to you, our community, to help us reach this goal. All crowdfunded donations will go towards the production of our upcoming shows at The Odyssey Theatre and Highways Performance Space.

ABOUT THE SHOW
The Greatest Show on Earth (GSOE for short). GSOE tells the epic tale of a group of traveling performance artists as they seek their hearts' truest desires – amidst the grime, mundanity, and unpredictability of life on the road. Through this piece we study relationships, identity, pop culture, trauma, and collective healing through the themed lens of a fantastical circus world. The work is an ode to the deep bonds of queer chosen family. GSOE is a vessel for honesty, manifestation, storytelling, and healing. GSOE is alive with us; it grows and evolves as we do with each iteration or project. We believe in its power to bring community together and ignite courage and empowerment amongst both performers and audience members alike.
