Help us get to playoffs!!
Tri-City Thunder needs help to get to North America Northeast roller derby playoffs – one of the biggest roller derby stages in the world! Please donate now!
After a huge season back playing roller derby since the sport took a multi-year break for the pandemic, Tri-City Roller Derby’s A-team, Thunder, has qualified for the North America-Northeast regional playoff tournament in State College, PA. This is a huge deal because only the top 12 teams in a region of 136 teams qualify.
All playoff games take place the weekend of May 17-19, 2024 – less than a month away! We need to raise enough money to pay for tournament entry and travel, as many of our skaters lack means to cover this sudden and significant cost.
Here’s how we will spend the money we raise:
Tournament entry fee: $685 CDN
Hotel rooms: $8,220 CDN
Gas costs: $3,120 CDN
Derby travel Insurance: $206 CDN
Team Bonding Meal: $700 CDN
Incidentals: unknown
We will also have to pay GoFundMe fees. Any money raised beyond our goal will go toward future away games.
Our first opponent at playoffs is Boston on May 17 at noon. Help us make sure we are there to CRUSH.
