With heavy hearts, we are raising funds on behalf of the family of Tricia Faulknor, a 27-year-old woman from Jamaica whose life was tragically cut short under unimaginable tragedy.
Tricia was seven months pregnant when she was admitted to the hospital, full of hope for the life she was carrying. What followed was a devastating series of events that no family should ever have to endure. She was placed into a medically induced coma, and during that time, her unborn baby tragically passed away.
Despite fighting with everything she had, Tricia developed severe infections that spread throughout her body, affecting her heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys. For weeks, her family stood by her side, praying, hoping, and doing everything they could to keep her alive—spending what they had on life-saving care and medication.
For a brief moment, it seemed like she might recover. She regained consciousness, giving her loved ones a glimmer of hope. But heartbreakingly, she became unresponsive again… and soon after, she passed away.
Now her family is left grieving not one, but two devastating losses—Tricia and her unborn child.
As they face this unimaginable pain, they are also carrying a heavy financial burden. The cost of her three-week hospital stay has drained the family, leaving them struggling to afford funeral arrangements and outstanding medical bills.
We are hoping to raise $8,600 to help give Tricia and her baby a proper farewell, and to ease the financial stress weighing on her already grieving family.
No family should have to worry about money while mourning such a profound loss.
If you can, please consider donating—any amount truly helps. And if you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser can make a world of difference.
Thank you for your kindness, your compassion, and for helping this family through one of the darkest times in their lives.
