Team with Tricia to Tackle Cancer
Hi friends, I want to introduce you to my friend, Tricia Yates and ask for support on her behalf.
I have worked with Tricia for many years. She is a teaching assistant, working with young children with special needs, and is one of the hardest working ladies I know. Not only does she work full time as a special education assistant, she stays after school to work the after school program. Although you would never know it to look at her, Tricia is in her 60’s and works harder and longer than those half her age. She typically works 12 hour days, and I have no idea how she is does it! Most importantly of all however, Tricia Yates is a great friend to many, a beloved mom, and a devoted, doting grandmother!
Tricia was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma, a rare cancer of the soft tissue in April 2019. She had surgery to remove a softball sized tumor in June, and was unable to work this summer as she recovered. She had a second surgery in August, and will begin radiation once the surgery site has healed sufficiently. Tricia’s medical bills are growing, along with other expenses that come with many trips to Austin for doctors appointments. Tricia is back to working those 12 hour days, but having the summer off and all the extra expenses is putting additional stress on my friend, when her focus should be on healing.
In order to help her worry less about finances and focus on recovery, I’m setting up a GoFundMe account as well as a Benefit Account at Frontier Bank for Tricia Yates. Please donate what you can to support this wonderful lady! I am happy to take your donations as well, if you can’t make it to the bank.
Just as important as the monetary donations, I’m asking that you please join me in lifting Tricia up in prayer…
