Soooooo … long overdue update on Trey’s bike situation. The day it was stolen, we made a report to the police. After I posted on Facebook, I was blessed to receive names, addresses, and all the information I needed to give to the police to have him caught and charged. When Trey called the police department, he was given some wrong information, saying that he could only give information to the officer who took the report, and he was out until Monday.

I went out hunting for this person and found him, his significant other, and their children living in a field. I followed him way into the meadow, but I had no protection, so I had to turn back. The bike was long gone by this time. And Monday, when the police talked to him, he denied stealing it. Even though his wife admitted it and I had several other witnesses, they still couldn’t make the arrest.

With that being said……this week has been such a blessing. We have been asked countless times if Trey has a GoFundMe for not only his bike but also to help with medical stuff that is coming, due to his new diagnosis of a brain tumor/Alzheimer’s. He has thrived after his stroke, thrived in the midst of his Parkinson’s disease, and thrives on dialysis 5 days a week (ok, I may make it seem rosier than it really is sometimes, but I’m an optimist and he’s an amazing patient!).

He is so touched by your love and caring for him. He soaks it up, and it is healing for him in so many ways. So here it is, if you can’t donate, maybe you can share it with others who have been touched by Trey’s talent all these years. Or leave a note of love and encouragement for Trey; it will all make a difference. Maybe a memory of a good time you had at a gig (nothing too scandalous, please ). Love to you all.
