My name is Jodi and I’m asking for help for my son, Trey who means the world to me and to his daughter, Luna. Trey is a devoted father who gives everything he has to be present, supportive, and loving. He has always been the best father he can be and no matter what, He works hard, pays his child support without fail, and never hesitates to put her needs before his own. His daughter is his entire heart, and anyone who sees them together can feel the love and bond they share.

Unfortunately, he’s facing $3,000 in unexpected court fees/costs that came not because of anything he did wrong, but because of ongoing issues with his daughter’s mother and the court making him at for her lawyer fees because he represented himself in court and she had a lawyer. Every time it seems like things are turning around, she makes it difficult for him, trying to strip away whatever she can and create obstacles just for him to be able to work, pay child support, and continue being the loving father his daughter needs. These fees have created a financial burden that he simply wasn’t prepared for, and it’s putting him in a very stressful position.

This is a man who shows up. He’s the kind of father who will drive across town just to see her smile, who works extra hours so she has what she needs, who never lets her feel alone. And right now, he needs a little bit of that same support shown to him. He has been so strong but with everything now to include the loss of his younger brother, Noah in August - he just can’t take anymore stress.

I’m creating this GoFundMe because I’ve seen firsthand how hard he tries and how deeply he loves Luna. I’ve already lost one son and I know it’s only $3000 but the stress is causing a toll on his health that I’m so scared he is going to have a stroke due to his high blood pressure. Any donation, big or small, will help lighten this burden and help him stay focused on what matters most—being the father his daughter looks up to.
