On March 11th, our world changed—Trey, my sister Kimberly’s partner and father to their 3-year-old, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. What should have been a routine surgery turned into a life-or-death battle. After complications, Trey suffered a hemorrhage, which the doctors stopped, but he needed a third surgery to remove the rest of the tumor. Since then, he has faced pneumonia, COVID, C. diff, and has a tracheostomy to support his recovery. Despite everything, he continues to fight and can now follow commands, giving us hope every day.
Trey’s recovery will be long—6–8 weeks of chemo and radiation, followed by rehab before he can come home. He has always been a devoted partner and father, and now my sister is carrying the weight of parenting, bills, and heartbreak alone while trying to be by his side. We humbly ask for your support. Your generosity will help her spend precious time with their child and be there for Trey as he continues to heal. We trust in God’s grace and know that, with your help, Trey will keep fighting and come home. Thank you for your prayers, love, and support.
