Hello, my name is Tracy Brock. My twenty-six-year-old son, Donald Ray Bonaventure, better known as Trey, has recently been diagnosed with Testicular Cancer. He had to quickly undergo an Orchiectomy, to remove the testicle. Trey also has abdominal Retroperitoneal Lymph node involvement, which means it has metastasized. This will require nine weeks of chemotherapy and could potentially involve another surgery.
Trey and his wife Emily have worked so hard building their careers and a future for themselves and their future family. They recently married and purchased their first home. The Cancer diagnosis has not only had a HUGE emotional impact upon them but is now also putting an unexpected financial hardship upon this young couple as well.
Family and friends are rallying around Trey and Emily to assist with transportation, to and from doctor visits, and providing emotional support and encouragement. However, there is an immediate need with medical expenses. Trey does have an employer provided insurance plan, which has a deductible/out-of-pocket expenses of $4,500 now and will need to meet it again when the new year begins, so that is a total of $9,000 in out-of-pocket costs alone over the next few months.
Asking for help has never been an easy thing for me, but I must humble myself to help our young newlyweds, who are facing circumstances beyond their control and beyond what most anyone could have expected, much less planned for, at such a young age. I am asking for your help to cover these out-of-pocket expenses, allowing Trey and Emily to focus on his treatment and recovery, without the added burden and stress of trying to pay these unexpected medical expenses. Donations of any amount, large or small, will help to meet this need and are much appreciated. If you are unable to donate, we understand, but would still appreciate your prayers as well as you’re sharing this to reach as many as possible.
We thank you all SO VERY MUCH, from the bottom of our hearts, and pray that God richly bless each one of you!
