Dear Friends and Family,

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out today to share a significant chapter in my life and to ask for your support during my recovery from a kidney transplant. That’s right it happened! Thank GOD!!!

As many of you know, I have been battling kidney disease for seven years. Despite countless treatments and hospital visits, my condition progressively worsened, leading to the need for a kidney transplant. On 7/29/24 I underwent this life-saving surgery, and I am incredibly grateful for the second chance at life it has given me.

The transplant was a success, and my new kidney is functioning well, but the journey to full recovery is just beginning. The next few months are critical as my body adjusts to the new organ. This period will involve frequent medical check-ups, a strict medication regimen, and a focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle to ensure the success of the transplant.

Unfortunately, the cost of this medical journey is overwhelming. Despite insurance, the expenses still exist. Things like medication, travel to medical appointments, and ongoing treatments are substantial. Not to mention household bills and everyday living expenses. Additionally, I will be unable to work during my recovery, further straining my financial situation.
