Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to you all on behalf of my son, Trey. After a recent basketball game, Trey sustained a fracture in his metacarpal bone in his hand and is currently receiving orthopedic care to ensure it heals properly and doesn’t impact his long-term health or athletic future.

He is currently away at school at IMG Academy and was evaluated by an orthopedic facility near his school in Florida; and while he is in great hands medically, we were informed that the facility does not accept my insurance. As a result, the cost for his initial treatment is $2,200 out of pocket with additional follow-up visits potentially required as he heals.

Like many families, this was an unexpected expense. Covering the full cost at once would relieve a significant financial burden and allow us to focus fully on Trey’s recovery, especially since he is away from home.

Trey is a hardworking, dedicated young man who puts his heart into everything he does both on and off the court, and he has been overwhelmed by the love and encouragement he’s received from so many people throughout his journey. Time away from basketball is going to be taxing for him, but it’s just a minor setback for a major comeback.
