Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
We are reaching out with an urgent and heartfelt plea for support on behalf of Trey, who is currently hospitalized and in critical condition due to Sepsis, a life threatening medical emergency that has turned his world upside down.
Trey was admitted after becoming severely ill, and doctors quickly determined he was battling Sepsis, a dangerous reaction to rare bacterial infection that can rapidly lead to tissue damage, organ failure, and even death. Tragically, despite extensive testing and treatments, doctors have been unable to find the source of the infection, which has severely limited their ability to target and treat it effectively. So far, Trey has shown resistance to the medications administered, and the road ahead remains incredibly uncertain.
This has been a terrifying and exhausting time for Trey and everyone who loves him.
As if the physical battle wasn’t enough, Trey is facing a storm of financial hardship that threatens his future just as much as his illness does.
The Reality Trey Is Facing:
Trey does not have medical insurance, and his hospital stay alone has already resulted in crushing medical bills.
Because he is not eligible for FMLA, he has no income during this time and no job protection.
He is missing work indefinitely, with no paid leave or disability coverage to fall back on.
Once he begins to recover, he will still need long-term home health care, including professional in-home medical support, equipment, medications, and therapy.
Everyday bills (rent, utilities, groceries) continue to pile up while he fights for his life in a hospital bed.
This is where you come in. We’re asking for your help. no matter how big or small — to give Trey a fighting chance not only to survive this, but to recover without drowning in medical debt.
Trey is a loving, hard-working, and generous soul who has always shown up for others and now he needs us to show up for him. He would never ask for this kind of help himself, but we know that community and compassion can make all the difference.
Whether it’s $5 or $500, every bit helps. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this post. Spreading the word can be just as powerful.
Please keep Trey in your thoughts and prayers during this critical time. With your help, we’re holding onto hope that he can pull through this and start the long road to recovery.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
