Help Trevor's battle with terminal glioblastoma

On the 8th of October our dad Trevor was taken to hospital after a week of being bed ridden with what he thought was migranes. He was vomiting, couldn't stand straight and was repeating himself because he was forgetting things. He was admitted to hospital after having a CT scan to investigate and on Friday the 9th we were informed of the devastating news that he had a 3.3cm by 3.3cm tumor. He was transferred the same day to Royal Adelaide hospital where he had a second CT scan followed by an MRI which confirmed the news we were hoping not to receive it was definitely cancer. On the 12th he was taken into surgery to perform a biopsy and were told by the neurosurgeon that it was stage 4 Glioblastoma. Following surgery he was told his treatment options were possible surgery then radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Unfortunately his oxygen saturation was low and he had to have oxygen on constantly. He was taken for an X-Ray which revealed he has multiple blood clots in his lungs so he was unable to undergo surgery so instead they have gone with radiotherapy and chemotherapy whilst he is on blood thinners to break the clots down and possibly surgery if it is safe enough down the track followed by palliative care. The tumor is pressing on the cerebellum and has and will continue to affect his speech, mobility and his cognitive function. Trevor is the sole income earner for him and his wife. For the last 2 weeks he has been unable to work and will not be able to work in the foreseen future. Trevor has always been about his family and being able to provide for him and his wife. He has always been a hardworker and always looks forward to spending the weekends mowing his lawn and being with his grandchildren. Trevor has no idea we are starting this page but us kids would like the opportunity to look after our father/father-in law after all the years he has spent looking after us we would like to return the favor. He has been so stressed out about being able to pay the rent and bills that his working wage would normally cover. And on top of that the travel costs to and from the hospital everyday for radiotherapy and parking costs. We are all trying to help as much as we can but it is just simply not enough. So we are here to ask you to please make any kind of donation ANYTHING will help. Just until he can either go back to work (which he wants to do if possible) or until he can sort out some payment from centrelink for the mean time. We would just like to thank everyone in advance for any donation that is made and all the support! We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts! Stacey, Danika, Brandon, Pete, Rhys & Carina
