Help Trevor Walk Again with a C-Brace

2018 Trevor was affected by the AFM virus and lost use of his 1 leg from the thigh down. Currently he uses a kafo from hip down to his foot. He walks by “throwing” his hip and leg forward which is a lot of tension and strain on his hip so, we are expecting, at some point, that he’ll need a hip replacement or two.

My cousin was so kind in doing a Go-Fund-Me for him which helped us in unexpected expenses. While he does still have much of that money, it won’t come close to paying for even 1 C-brace, which we are asking for help with.

He spoke to the doctor about it, he does qualify for the Cbrace but was told, 1 Cbrace is about $90,000 and lasts 5-6 years. Trevor is currently 22. Hoping he lives to 80-90 years, that’s a lot of money! This goes beyond the little bit we all can help with but if we don’t have the $1mill, it’d be difficult to even get 1 cuz then he’d have to go back to using a Kafo after walking normally again with the Cbrace.

I wasn’t sure about doing this again because it’s a LOT of money we need and figured if someone with the money could help, they could reach out to us and meet us so they knew We were real too. But, idk I just feel so heartbroken for this kid so, ‍♀️
