Trevor is about to begin his journey at Miami University in Ohio, pursuing a degree in chemical engineering. He’s a dedicated student who cares deeply about the environment and was excited to use his electric bike as his main way to get around campus, travel into town, and commute to a future job. The bike was a special graduation and birthday gift, meant to help him stay independent and reduce his reliance on cars, reflecting his commitment to sustainability.
Recently, Trevor was involved in an accident while riding his bike home. Thankfully, he was wearing a helmet and avoided major injuries, but he did suffer significant road rash and had to be taken to Eskanazi hospital by ambulance. While he was being treated, the police secured his bike to a pole. When Trevor was released from the hospital late that night, we went to retrieve the bike, only to find it had been stolen. This loss has been a huge setback, especially as Trevor prepares to move 2.5 hours away from home and start college on his own for the first time.
Replacing Trevor’s electric bike will help him get to classes, run errands, and find work while living away from home. It’s not just about transportation—it’s about giving him the independence and support he needs to thrive in this new chapter. Any help will make a real difference for Trevor as he starts his college journey.
