Hello my name is Maya-Ange Veras and I have a 9 year old Labrador mix dog. He was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. I need help. Medical cost for treatments and test are really high. The specialist from Blue Pearl Animal hospital would like to run further test but they are very costly. He would like to do a biopsy which he said is going to be about 2,000.00$ plus additional bloodwork. We haven't come up with the best treatment ideas because he needs those test to determine best route to take.
He has been in my life since he was 3 months old; I adopted him from ASPCA. He was very difficult in the beginning because he came from an abusive place; flinching when you go pet him, getting scared when somebody yelled and not trusting anybody. It has been very hard work but the journey has no regrets and it has been 100% worth it. Since the day he has been in my life he has been my everything and I promised to protect and care for him like he does for me. At age 13 he saved me from suicide. He has been with me when I lost my home at 16, when I was living on my own before I graduated high school. Trevor granted me the strength to keep going after being attacked on the train twice. He helped me emotionally with an abusive relationship I was in. He is my emotional support animal snapping me out of my PTSD moments, suicidal moments and anxiety attacks. He is there every step of the way. Trevor has not only helped me but helped everyone he meets. He has saved my uncle's life by bringing him his diabetic medication when having a seizure. He granted smiles to strangers who had stressful days. He is an angel in disguise.
I am trying to put whatever I can down for these bills but unfortunately it is not enough. Between not being able to find a job and barely receiving enough from unemployment, it brings me further away from putting money towards his treatments. Please help. Anything is something whether it's sharing or donating a dollar or 2. Thank you.
