A few months ago, we met Trevor while handing out pizza to people experiencing homelessness. He mostly kept to himself, but something about him stood out. We trusted each other right away, and over the next few months we kept checking in, getting to know him, and building a friendship. What surprised us most was Trevor’s heart. Even while he was homeless, he would come do service with us, helping others who were struggling just like he was. At one point, he even gave away his own socks and blanket to someone who needed them more.

Eventually, we decided to take a leap and invite Trevor to stay with us so he could begin rebuilding his life. Since then, he’s been focused on healing, working, and reconnecting with his kids. Trevor’s dream is simple: to have a van he can live in and travel in, and to help others who have been in his position once he’s back on his feet again. A van would give him stable transportation, a place of his own, and the freedom to visit his children while continuing to work with us as we help him build long-term stability.

Our goal is to surprise Trevor with a van so he can take this next step toward independence. Every dollar raised will go directly toward purchasing a reliable van for Trevor. Beyond this, we’re working to employ him through our projects so he can support himself long-term. Trevor is the first person we’re helping in what we hope becomes a much bigger mission to help others rebuild their lives too.
