Hi, this is extremely heartbreaking to write and ask for funds. Rob’s daughter-in-law, Crysta aged only 33, beat cancer last year! An extremely aggressive form of breast cancer, at a low chance of survival. She was in remission!! Amazing, right!?! Well life can be extremely cruel and the chemotherapy has destroyed her body and put her into acute liver failure, which in turn has stopped other organs from working. In a matter of days she has gone from celebrating Christmas with her young 4 year old daughter, Evie, and the rest of the family (me (and my kids) included as Rob’s better half) to suddenly being admitted to hospital with liver and kidney failure and even as far as being transferred to a specialist liver transplant hospital in San Francisco, almost 100 miles from home. Today we were told that she isn’t going to recover. She is too sick for a liver transplant. Today Trevor (Rob’s son aged 29) had to make the hard decision, with the support of family, to turn the machines off tomorrow and let her pass away naturally and peacefully (with pain relief). I know how hard a decision this is and we all support him fully.
Here comes the request for help. As you can imagine being so young, they never imagined having to think about funeral expenses. Who does when they are in their 20’s or early 30’s?! The best years of their life should be ahead of them! Crysta, as well as being an amazing mom to Evie, worked full time as the general manager of a large chain store, while Trevor stayed home to look after Evie and support Crysta in her career. The family has lost all of their income and needs help while they get back on their feet after this shocking, devastating news and loss. Please consider donating to help with funeral expenses and any other costs for the next few weeks/months. Any amount will be gratefully received.
Please keep Crysta, Trevor, and Evie in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for reading this far and for the love and support!
Vicki & Rob
