Help Tressa Heal

Life is defined by a collection of moments that send our souls on a journey through the universe on the path that God has laid for us.
My life’s adventures have taken me across the United States, Canada, and over the ocean to the British Isles. What I sought in my travels were ways that I could use my talents and develop more skills as a means of helping people. Along the way, I found healing from my own trauma and health issues that I had as a child. Through this, I had more meaningful experiences than I had hoped for.
At a certain point along the way, I found my way back home and reconnected with my old schoolmate, Tressa. Finding her again was akin to meeting a long-lost cousin. We shared stories from the years that had passed us by. We laughed and cried. My once punky and sassy friend had gone on to work in retail and completed a master's degree in business with a concentration in human resources. Tressa started her own business founded on her passion for making non-toxic skincare products. This is one of the ways that Tressa is able to provide for her family while sharing the importance of organic living. While these are impressive accomplishments, nothing is more admirable than her faith in God and the love for her husband and children.
Every day, this mother wakes up to feed, guide, and teach her children while supporting the needs of her husband. Tressa homeschools her babies to make sure that they remain healthy while getting the best education. She does this happily, gracefully, and faithfully, putting all of their essentials before her own.
Over the past few months, we took counsel with each other as we exchanged stories and Tressa entrusted me with her recent health struggles. This kept us up many nights where we were left with nothing other than to pray for the best. On February 5th, I received a message from her with the results of her medical tests. She told me that she was diagnosed with cancer. Tressa refused to let this break her and she has started several treatments and natural therapies that aren’t covered by her insurance. I humbly ask that you make a donation to help offset the costs for Tressa and her family. Thank you for taking the time and consideration for this beautiful woman and her sweet little tribe.

UPDATE - February 24: In the first 12 hours, $910.00 was raised. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far! 10 days ago, Tressa was telling me about just 1 of her therapies which would cost $800.00 per month. She didn't know where the money would come from. Today she is covered for the first treatment. We have a long way to go, but this is proof that prayer works and miracles happen every day. I am so thankful. Please keep everyone with illness and injury in your prayers and share this fundraiser to your family and friends. Every little bit counts. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
UPDATE - February 25: WOW! Thank you so much everyone for joining virtually here to share some really generous contributions for Tressa and her family! This will help to take some pressure off of her dear husband Calvin and shine some very much needed light into their lives. While your donations are greatly needed and appreciated, I ask that you keep this family in your prayers every day. There is nothing more helpful than the power of God! Today we are a few dollars away from raising $3,000. Please continue to share this page with everyone to help us reach our goal.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
