My name is Trent, and I’m currently in the hospital after what started as a visit for back pain turned into something much more serious. I was diagnosed with a kidney stone, but doctors quickly discovered my hemoglobin was dangerously low at 5.7. This led to two blood transfusions, iron infusions, and a series of tests to check for internal bleeding. During this process, I was also diagnosed with anemia. Despite all of this, we still don’t have clear answers, and I remain admitted while the medical team works to figure out what’s going on.

My fiancé, Heather, has been by my side every minute, which means neither of us has been able to work since I was admitted on Tuesday. With no income coming in, we’re struggling to keep up with our regular bills—especially rent and our car payment—on top of the mounting medical expenses from my hospital stay. The stress of not knowing how we’ll cover these costs is overwhelming, and we’re worried about falling behind as the bills keep coming in each month.
