Help Trent and the Inglesby Family Fight Against ALS
Donation protected
As a community of friends and family who love the Inglesbys, we are hoping to rally support for them as they face difficult times ahead.
Last October, Trent was diagnosed with ALS as the cause of the leg weakness he had been experiencing. ALS is a degenerative disease that affects motor neurons from the brain to the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body. When motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost and patients lose the ability to move, speak, eat, and breathe.
Unfortunately patients with ALS have very short lifespans on average, even though Trent has lived a healthy and active lifestyle. It is devastating to think of our smiling friend getting progressively weaker and unable to do the things he loves.
Trent gives so much of his time and energy and talents to his family and friends, to Barlow Basketball, his church, work, and more. He is an incredible dad to Evan and Drew, and husband to Jana. He has influenced so many of us in positive ways.
Trent and Jana have been working toward being as healthy as they can to try to prolong Trent’s life and improve the quality of the time he does have. Trent has been pursuing naturopathic and functional medicine treatments to hopefully slow the progression of the disease. This avenue has been promising, but comes with significant costs for appointments, testing, supplements, blood work, and travel. Upcoming costs could also include an accessible vehicle, a wheelchair, and other unexpected expenses.
We would love to relieve some of the financial burden from the Inglesby family so they can focus on making the most of the time they have together. Thank you for your support and prayers!
