This is a milestone year for us, as we are both turning 40 this spring and in August we will celebrate having been married for half of our lives! We got hit with about $3000 in hospital bills recently that pretty much wiped out what we had saved for our anniversary. God has always provided for us and He has blessed us so much with our kids and the opportunity to work in full-time ministry for nearly all of those 20 years. I'm hesitant to ask for support, since we have all the necessities of life and a lot more, but Deborah is the most important person in the world to me and I'm lucky to have had 20 years with her next to me. It would be a dream come true for me to be able to take her somewhere really special for a combination 40th birthday, 20th anniversary getaway. I want her to feel appreciated and cherished. She never complains or asks for anything, and she is content with so little. I do feel pretty weird creating this fundraiser when I know there are people everywhere with needs. If you have to choose between this campaign and helping someone in your neighborhood with basic needs--please do that instead! Thanks so much.
