Help Treforys Tiny Tots Raise Funds for a Defibrillator
Donation protected
At Treforys Tiny Tots Nursery, the safety and well-being of our children, staff, and community is at the heart of everything we do. Today, we’re asking for your help to raise funds for a defibrillator—an essential device that delivers an electric shock to the heart in cases of sudden cardiac arrest, helping restore its normal rhythm. In emergencies, time is of the essence, and defibrillators can mean the difference between life and death.
This mission is deeply personal to us. Mitchell Joseph, the son of one of our staff members, tragically passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest while playing football. In the wake of this unimaginable loss, his family has dedicated countless hours to fundraising for defibrillators across Swansea, striving to save lives where every minute matters.
Thanks to their efforts, life-saving equipment has already been placed at locations such as Mynydd Newydd and other local playing fields. Now, we’re determined to bring that same reassurance to Treforys Tiny Tots Nursery. We believe every child, parent, and visitor deserves peace of mind, knowing help is immediately available if tragedy strikes.
To raise these vital funds, our team is taking on the challenge of walking up Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales, this April. Each step will be taken in Mitchell’s memory—and in the hope that no other family will have to endure such heartbreak.
How you can help:
Donate to our GoFundMe page. Every pound gets us closer to installing a defibrillator on-site.
Spread the word on social media using our hashtag #Defib4TinyTots. Share our story with friends, family, and neighbors.
Sponsor the team or make cash contributions if that’s easier for you. We’re also providing sponsor forms if you’d like to rally support from others.
No amount is too small, and every contribution moves us one step closer to safeguarding the Treforys Tiny Tots family. We can’t thank you enough for your kindness and generosity—together, we can honor Mitchell’s memory and protect the lives of those in our community for years to come.
