Help to save my son's life
My name is Ammar, from Gaza Strip, and I write these words with a heart heavy with worries but with unshakable hope for my dear son, Wissam. He is only 17 years old, but life has handed him a challenge no child should ever face.
Wisam was diagnosed with a rare life-threatening disease, which causes a loss of sensation in his hands and feet. This condition develops into inflammation resembling burns and eventually leads to amputation. He has already lost four toes and two fingers, robbing him of so much—his ability to play freely, to live without pain, and even to sleep peacefully. Yet, it hasn’t taken away his spirit. Even on the hardest days, amidst the ongoing war in Gaza for over a year, he smiles through the pain, inspiring everyone around him with his courage and innocence.
We have exhausted every option and every path. The only way forward is for me to take him out of Gaza to receive the treatment that offers him hope. However, this treatment comes at a cost far beyond our reach and is unavailable in Gaza due to the war. The medical expenses, medications, and associated costs are far more than I can afford on my own.
This is where we need your help.
We reach out to you with hope and faith in your kindness and generosity to help give Wisam the chance he deserves—a chance to return to a normal life like other children, to walk, run, play, and dream. Every euro we collect brings us closer to making this treatment possible, giving him the life he should live—a life full of laughter, play, and the limitless possibilities of childhood.
How You Can Help:
1. Donate: No amount is too small. Every contribution brings us one step closer.
2. Share: Spread Wisam’s story far and wide. The more people who know, the greater the impact.
From the depths of my heart, I thank you for reading, for caring, and for giving us hope in this battle. Your kindness means the world to our family.
With gratitude and hope,
Ammar Al-Sharif
