I am a mother of Moyamoya disease (a very rare disease)patient. I have shared my daughter's clinical history.
Patient's Name: Farishta Yashha
Patient's Age: 7 years 2 month
Patient's Sex: Female.
At the age of 3, she had gone through her first severe headache along with several symptoms such as;
• Vomitting ( Several times not actual only water or cough in an empty stomach)
• Stool passing for once.
• Light and Sound Sensitivity
• Vertigo ( with weakened legs can't even walk)
After consulting with several doctors of Bangladesh, the disease was not surely confirmed but migraine. For that, she had taken Migranil 0.5 mg tablet for three months. But it didn't work. This attack usually happens if she gets up early or goes outside on a sunny day or doesn't take proper rest or she takes spicy food. For that reason, she couldn't attend school ever. I am working at a hospital. As because of her illness I don't usually go to hospital regularly, my boss (Doctor)asked me to send him the details history of her. So I did. After his consultation, we did MRI and EEG. Then was diagnosed Moyamoya, her brain arteries are narrowed. It's a life-threatening disease. A brain stroke can occur at any time. The nearest treatment is available is in Bangalore. I left my other kid with my mom and brought my daughter here to Bangalore now. But unfortunately, I couldn't manage even half of the treatment cost yet. I need help to get the whole treatment done successfully. The total cost is expected to be 20000$. For now, I have raised 7000$. I want to do everything possible to give my daughter the healthy life that she deserves!
