Treasured Hearts Foundation is on a mission to bring a love of learning, reading, better education, and hope to children in disadvantaged primary schools in Lagos. Our goal is to build school libraries where children can explore the world of books, knowledge, and imagination.
We are currently planning to start by building a library in African Church Charity School in Nigeria (Surulere). The plan is to create a space that not only provides improved literacy but one that inspires a lifetime love of books and reading. It will be used by over 250 students. Many children do not have access to educational resources or books which can limit their growth opportunities. A school library isn’t just a place for books. It is a place where children can develop a love for learning, creating, and growing. It is where they can expand their horizons and find their passions.
Over the next few months, we will be working towards the completion of the library which will include the following:
HDF Boards
Painting
Bookshelves & writing desks
Chairs
New and donated books
Writing supplies
The library will be built by professionals and the books will be meticulously selected with the help of educational professionals. 100% of funds raised will go directly towards building as many libraries as the funds will allow. By donating to our cause, you will give children the gift of education and a chance to build a better future. No donation is too small and every little penny will bring the libraries to life.
