My name is Treasa, and in 2018 I lost my daughter Catherine at nine weeks old after suffering nearly deadly pre-eclampsia at 24 weeks pregnant and requiring an emergency C-Section. Since then, I have not been physically or mentally well a single day. I never stopped bleeding after Cat's birth and now, finally, I have been diagnosed with severe Adenomyosis and suspected Endometriosis. I live every day with debilitating pain and bleeding.
In order to improve my symptoms, I require laparoscopic surgery, which is very difficult to get in Ireland. Frankly, there aren’t any surgeons here with the level of expertise necessary, especially considering the complications in my case. Therefore, I am hoping to travel to Bucharest to visit a top-notch endo excision specialist. I am hoping that I can begin to live a somewhat normal life again, all going well. Endometriosis is a lifelong condition, and I have had symptoms for nearly 20 years, but if I can gain any relief from the constant pain and bleeding, it will transform my life.
This surgery, including accommodation and travel, will cost between €9,000 - €12,0000, money that I have no way to access. I’m sorry to ask, but if anyone reading this can donate even €1, Stephen and I will be eternally grateful.
