Dear family, friends, and loving community,
I never imagined I would be writing something like this. My son, Tre Bryant, a hardworking college student and dedicated football and track athlete, was recently the victim of gun violence. In an instant, our world was shaken in a way I can barely put into words.
By God’s mercy, he survived and for that, I am endlessly grateful. But the emotional and physical toll of what happened is something he now has to carry as he works toward healing and reclaiming his sense of normalcy.
My son has always been the one who pushed through adversity with determination and heart. Whether it was balancing school, sports, or being a big brother, he showed up every day and gave his best. Now, instead of focusing on his future and the dreams he’s been working so hard for, he is navigating trauma, pain, and a recovery process that no parent ever wants to witness their child endure.
While the medical bills haven’t started coming in yet, we already know they are on the way, along with the costs of therapy, follow-up care, and the unexpected expenses that come with potential court appearances and travel. As his mother, I want nothing more than to make sure he has every resource he needs to heal, but the financial weight of this situation is more than we can manage alone.
I’m humbly asking for your support. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps lighten the load and gives my son a better chance at rebuilding his life with dignity, stability, and hope. If you can’t give, please share his story and keep our family lifted in prayer. Your love and support mean more to us than I could ever express.
Thank you for standing with us during the hardest moment of our lives.
With love and gratitude,
Cabina Woods and Family
