Hi there! My name is Trayvonn H. but I go by Tray for short, pronouns he/she/they. I'm a transplant to Seattle, WA coming from San Diego, CA as of this last September. I moved up to WA because I got accepted into nursing school at the University of Washington Seattle campus (Go Huskies!!). The accelerated Bachelor of Science Nursing track. I'm writing this in full transparency about having financial hardship with affording tuition for this first quarter since I left my CNA job in California to relocate to WA, my housing placement fell through a week before orientation due to discrimination of my sexual orientation, causing me to stay in a hotel and temporary housing currently. My personal wages and savings were dedicated to covering what is left over from my scholarships, however, I've had to shift financial planning into just accommodating books, housing for the quarter, and living expenses in the meantime. I'm having trouble with private loans because of credit history and non-available cosigner, so it's been a journey. However, my spirit is not broken. My education is very important to me and serving in the field of nursing constantly reminds me that I'm going to experience turbulence along the way. But I am committed to this program and achieving my nursing degree, because I've worked so hard to stand in this place. My goal is achieve this by the end of the month or end of quarter (in hopes of registering for next quarter). This donation will/is going towards my nursing education, specifically my tuition for this Autumn quarter, which would ease financial strain that I'm experiencing today as a queer independent non-resident student. I believe in myself and my capabilities as a hardworking student and academic overachiever, which is why I am reaching out for assistance with financial coverage as I'm capable to maintain the rest academically. Please and thank you in advance.
