My name is Mike Nelson and my friend Travis Wright underwent a successful heart valve replacement 5 years ago. During these 5 years, Travis has been able to work on bikes, hunt, and take part in family functions.
Unfortunately, his journey has taken an unexpected and difficult turn.
Recently, he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. The aortic valve that was meant to last for 15 years has failed. Doctors have discovered the valve is no longer closing properly. This is allowing blood to bypass the valve and is putting immense strain on his heart. His aorta is now almost completely calcified, which is dangerously restricting blood flow to his body.
This condition is severe and requires urgent surgery.
Travis is a proud man that would not reach out, but on his behalf, I'm humbly asking for help to cover the substantial medical expenses for this critical surgery.
Insurance will cover a portion, but the out-of-pocket costs will be overwhelming.
Your donation will go directly to help Travis get this life-saving surgery and for recovery. Any amount, no matter how small, will bring him closer to a healthier future.
I understand not everyone can donate, but you can still be a huge help by sharing his story with friends and family.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can offer.
Your kindness and generosity mean the world to Travis and his family.
