My name is Jeff Larson, father of Taylor Wilken. I am starting this fundraising campaign to help ease the burden during this devastating time for my daughter and her family.
Taylor and Travis are facing an unimaginable loss after their home in Cambridge was destroyed in an arson fire.
As parents of five kids, they are now navigating the emotional and financial stress that comes with such a devastating tragedy. While they do have homeowners insurance, the process takes time, and there are a ton of immediate expenses and everyday necessities that need to be covered in the meantime, including clothing, food, essentials for the kids, and temporary needs for their family.
Many in the community know the Wilkens through the Cambridge-Isanti Hockey Association. Four of their boys skated last season. They have been part of a community built on support, teamwork, and showing up for one another, and right now they need that same support surrounding them.
Travis is also a Marine Corps Combat veteran who served in Afghanistan. He has spent a good chunk of his life serving others, and now it’s our turn to support him and his family during one of the hardest moments they’ve faced.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the burden on their family as they begin moving forward from this heartbreaking loss. Funds will go directly toward replacing clothing and personal items, buying food and daily essentials, covering temporary housing or hotel stays, and handling all the unexpected costs that insurance won’t touch right away.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Taylor, Travis, and their kids in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for surrounding this family with love, kindness, and support during this difficult time.
