Left behind by the system, but I’m still fighting.

My name is Travis Tassy, and I’m raising funds to regain my independence after a series of setbacks that no one should have to face alone.

I’m still paying off a car loan for a vehicle I no longer have. I purchased the car in good faith, only to discover it had severe mechanical problems shortly after. Despite trying to make it work and even going to small claims court, my case was dismissed. That ruling left me stuck with no car, no transportation, and over $2,700 in car debt for a vehicle I can’t even drive.

I’ve applied for assistance through state and local resources, but most programs are limited or can’t help due to funding or policy restrictions. I’m currently relying on Uber just to get to work, which eats away at what little I have left each month.

I live with autism (Asperger’s) & OCD, and that makes everyday challenges even harder to manage especially when it feels like the system doesn’t listen.

Here’s what I’m facing right now:

• Car loan balance: $2,700+

• Transportation (Uber to/from work)

• Monthly expenses: internet, electric, food

• Debts from previous repairs and living costs

• Limited access to assistance, despite applying to multiple agencies
