Travis was ill 3 weeks ago with a food born illness. Last Saturday he hit his head resulting in a concussion. This caused him to become I'll with a very rare syndrome called Miller Fisher syndrome which is a varient of Gillian Barre syndrome. This syndrome causes the antibodies in his blood to attack his central nervous system. It has affected his speech, his mouth can only open a small amount and his tongue moves slightly because of this he is unable to eat whole food. It has also affected the opthalomogic nerves to his eyes. He is unable to move his eyes together and they won't move outward causing him unable to see clearly. He is currently in Upstate University hospital in syracuse where he has received 3 of the 5 plasmapheresis where it is removing his antibodies out if his blood, cleaning it and putting it back in. This will hopefully aid in his healing but can take several months. He is a new Dairy Farmer that just started out 6 months ago. The expense of his medical bills are unkown and we are trying to keep his farm running for him until he heals. Because he is a new Dairy Farmer he needs help financially to keep the business going until he is well enough to take care of his animals on his own. We thank you for any help he receives as it will ease his mind as he recovers. Thank you all so much!!!! -Travis' mom
