My name is Travis, and I’m raising funds to purchase a new Hoyer lift that will help me safely transfer in and out of bed and onto my toilet chair. I recently broke my knee while trying to get my wheelchair repaired, and since then, daily routines have become much more challenging. My current Hoyer lift is very old, and it’s no longer reliable—it doesn’t raise high enough, and the tires are worn out, making every transfer difficult and sometimes unsafe.

Right now, my mom, dad, and brother help me with transfers, but they all have jobs and it takes multiple people to make the old lift work. We’re worried that it could fail at any time, which would put me at risk and make things even harder for my family. A new Hoyer lift would make a huge difference, giving me more independence and making daily care much easier and safer for everyone involved.
