My husband Travis was diagnosed with tonsil cancer over two years ago. With radiation and chemo, the doctors were able to get rid of the cancer in his tonsil, but just three months later, it spread to his lungs. Travis has always been an amazing provider for our family, and we never imagined we’d be in this position. We moved back to California about five months ago from Oregon, hoping for a fresh start, but the higher living costs and mounting medical bills have made things incredibly difficult.
Travis’s treatments are now in Modesto, California, which is about a 45-minute drive each way. The funds we raise will go directly toward his chemo cycles, MRIs, and gas for traveling to and from appointments. We may also use some support for groceries, but our main focus is making sure Travis gets the medical care he needs. He has already missed a whole month of chemo because we couldn’t afford his recent cycles, and it breaks my heart to see him go without treatment.
I moved to Lodi, California, with my family back in 1986 and have deep roots in this community. Travis grew up in Placerville, and together we’ve always tried to help anyone in need. It took a lot of courage to reach out for help, but knowing that my husband missed a month of chemo made me realize I had to. Any kind of help—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing our story—means everything to us. Even if you can’t give, your prayers and support are appreciated. The doctors have given Travis a prognosis, but I believe with your help, he can keep fighting and live longer. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. Travis and Marisol Morris.
