In April, Travis and Casey moved from Texas to Wisconsin so Casey could accept a new job. All cross-country moves have their challenges, but they have endured more than most. Before leaving Texas, their only car was severely damaged in the Wylie hailstorm. They have endured struggles with the professionals charged with helping them find a home, (who were less than honest) and their family pet was diagnosed with cancer.
These burdens alone have been difficult, but now their recently purchased home has suffered damage due to the recent storm and flooding throughout the Milwaukee area. Being new to the area, they relied on professionals who told them flood insurance was not needed, and now they are left with half a home. The lower level was completely flooded. They have done their best on their own to remove the water and damaged flooring, sheetrock, furnishings, etc., but now they face possible mold as time goes on, and an entire floor of their home is uninhabitable. Travis and Casey have always been so giving and willing to help others in need, but now it is their family with a need. As the mama it breaks my heart that this has happened to them, especially with all their family so far away. I hope you will add them to your prayers as they work through this, and if you are able, that you might bless them with a financial gift to help them rebuild.
