My mom (Jeri Lynn) is transitioning into being a caretaker and needs to relocate her business to her home to help care for a loved one. She has limited means to make the necessary renovations. I am soliciting donations that will go towards renovating a portion of her home into a salon/barber shop so she can continue to work and care for her stepmom in one location.
These funds are needed for renovation costs - helping with licensing and permitting costs, along with essential upgrades like ADA-compliant accessibility upgrades, plumbing, electrical work, and salon equipment. Our GoFundMe goal is set at $20k to reflect the maximum requirements expected from jurisdictional review to meet ADA, and only the bare minimum in functional upgrades needed to transition the space into a salon/barber shop. Donations of skilled labor in plumbing, electrical, hvac, flooring, and painting are also welcome! The extra labor donations will reduce the monetary costs and the need for the higher dollar amount.
