Help Bring the Sky Whale Mural to Life: Support Local Art in Marin County!
Imagine a vibrant, dreamy scene transforming the Wornum Way underpass between Larkspur and Corte Madera—a life-sized whale swimming in a pink sky, surrounded by graceful white pelicans and egrets from our local wetlands. This is the vision of a dedicated local artist and professional muralist, Rachel Hebert.
After years of planning and discussions with the Town of Corte Madera and CalTrans, we’re thrilled to announce that the Sky Whale mural is finally set to be painted this year! Now, we need your support to bring this beautiful vision to life and add some much-needed beauty to our neighborhood.
How You Can Help:
Contribute any amount to support the creation of this public art.
Donors of $500 or more will be recognized with a special plaque installed at the site, as a thank you for your generosity.
Whether you pass by on your daily commute, enjoy a walk along the newly improved sidewalk, or simply believe that our community deserves more beauty and inspiration—your donation can make a difference.
No amount is too small, and every contribution supports local art and enhances our shared space. This project will be entirely funded by the public, and funds go to pay for the cost of supplies, installation and long-term maintenance. Let’s come together to create something inspiring that reflects the spirit of our community.
Thank you for supporting art, nature, and beauty in Marin!
